Maheen is a transformative and proactive leader with over 18 years of experience in storytelling and editing across electronic, and print media. An award-winning media practitioner, Maheen created powerful scripts and anchored impactful features and documentaries during her time at Geo News, addressing climate change, women's health, tourism, lifestyle, female education in Swat, minorities rights, video games, the importance of libraries, and the ordeal of brick kiln workers. Maheen also created and helmed special reports on human trafficking, charity schools, old-age homes, and the education of children in slum dwellings, as well as culture and heritage, including historical features such as the separation of East Pakistan and Z.A. Bhutto’s trial and execution.
As the Corporate Communications Lead for the Africa and Middle East region at Reckitt Dubai, Maheen developed and executed integrated communication strategies for internal and external audiences. Her expertise spans strategic content creation, curation of compelling audiovisual presentations, refining core narratives, meticulous editing, and creative storytelling. In her role, Maheen successfully created content and hosted town halls with corporate leaders, drove CSR initiatives, organized team-building events, and spearheaded wellness and mental health programs. Her creative work has significantly strengthened stakeholder engagement across various regions.
Maheen has managed projects and written analytical research papers for the Aga Khan Foundation (London and Islamabad), the Dr. Mahbub-ul-Haq Human Development Centre, and the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI).
