ACM Sohail Aman retired after the completion of three years as Chief of Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF). He has served as the Director Operations, Director Plans, Assistant Chief of Air Staff Operations, Deputy Chief of Air Staff Training, and Deputy Chief of Air Staff Operations at Air Headquarters. ACM Sohail Aman (Rtd) is a graduate of Pakistan Air Force War College and has two Masters degrees: in Strategic Studies from Karachi University and in International Relations from Kings College, London.
He is also a proud alumnus of Royal College of Defence Studies, UK, and has attended the National and International Security Course at Harvard Kennedy School, USA.
In recognition of his meritorious and exceptionally dedicated services, he has been decorated with the awards of Nishan-i-Imtiaz (Military), Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military), Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), and Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military). He is also a recipient of “The Legion of Merit” of the Turkish Armed Forces, the “King Abdul Aziz Medal of Excellence” by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the United States “Legion of Merit”, the highest military award of the US Armed Forces awarded to any foreign military official.
He is currently undertaking projects relating to philanthropic work, such as developing welfare towns in rural areas of Pakistan to empower the less privileged, bringing education to children and their mothers, and providing health facilities to the poor and persons with special needs.
He is writing a book on leadership and the art of turning dreams into reality.
