Rabia Shoaib Ahmad

Rabia is a seasoned communications, project development and project management professional, with diverse experience, spanning 24 years, of industries like Defense R&D, Telecommunications, Renewable Energy, Higher Education, and Communications. She has been an active player in Pakistan's tech entrepreneurial landscape, having worked extensively with the Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs of North America (OPEN), The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Islamabad Chapter, and Code for Pakistan (CfP). She is also a Director of the Board of Advisors, ECOLAD Technologies, a smart-tech startup offering eco-friendly solutions.

Rabia is a strong advocate of implementing Renewable Energy (RE) solutions in Pakistan and has been on the Board of Directors of Clean Power Ltd, an RE consultancy firm developing innovative turnkey solutions, in collaboration with the Alternate Energy Development Board (AEDB). She has authored and co-authored strategy documents for the AEDB, including “Strategy for Supply Chain Development of Bio-diesel as an Alternative Fuel in Pakistan,” “Supply Chain and Inventory Management Plan for Bio-diesel” and “Policy Recommendations for Introducing Clean Fuels in Pakistan.” She is among the few women in Pakistan who have worked in Defense R&D and sales. She has also worked at Pakistan Mobile Communications Limited – Mobilink (now Jazz).

Prior to joining the Nutshell Group, Rabia completed a decade at Pakistan’s leading higher education institution – the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), where she served as Director Corporate Advisory Council and then as the founding Director of its Marketing & Communications department; she developed marketing strategies for the National Science & Technology Park (NSTP), Pakistan’s first STP, and N-ovative Health Technologies, Pakistan's maiden facility for cardiac stent manufacturing. She has co-authored strategy documents in collaboration with the Pakistan Academy of Sciences (PAS) and the Ministry of Science & Technology (MoST), including “Pakistan’s Energy Crisis – Recommended Solutions,” “Working Paper on Implementation of University-Industry Linkages” and “Working Paper on Development of National-Level Entrepreneurship & Innovation Ecosystem for Expert Group on Development of S&T, MoST.”

Rabia has a flair for public speaking and a passion for teaching and learning; she has been a visiting faculty member at the Islamabad campuses of FAST National University of Computer & Emerging Sciences (FAST NUCES), Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science & Technology (SZABIST), COMSATS, Bahria University, and others.

Rabia is a specialist in new project design and development, with several technical and operational projects from diverse industries to her credit.

In her leisure time, she enjoys reading and traveling, and believes in fitness of the body and mind.
